  • 1.  upgrade methodology of QFX5100 and SRX 550

    Hi 

    I have question regarding Junipe says that without any EOL release you cannot upgrade and downgrade 3 releases. i want to understand this recommendation.

    QFX5100  is currently having 13.2X51-D35.3 and i want to  upgrade to JTAC recommended release which is Junos 14.1X53-D46. 

    what 3 releases mean in this. 13 is the release number, it means i can upgrade directly to Junos 16 ? or 13.2 to 13.3 to 14.0 then 14.1, the number after the dot (.) taken as release ? so please advise how the 3 release will be counted before doing an upgrade/downgrade ??

     

    secondly 13.2X51-D35.3 is EOL/EOS, so i can directly upgrade to JTAC recommended release which is Junos 14.1X53-D46. to achieve this, do i have to upgrade the jloader as well?

    The three releases are referring to the first number 13 not those after the dots.

     

    In current releases, junos bundles any necessary jloader upgrades into your platform release file so you do not need to do them separately.
