    What will happen on DORA when we have multiple bng lets say 4 bng with 3 interfaces each? How will Radius behaves in this case? Anyone expert, please put your views.

    Hi Kijush,

     

    What i understand is you've four BNG and 3 interfaces in each BNG. All the three interfaces has same VLAN.

    You've radius authentication under the dhcp-local-server hirarchy.

     

    Please let me know if understanding is correct?

    Hi Kijush,

     

    We'll test in lab and confirm the behavior. Discover packet causes 4x3 radius request or 4x1 radius request.

    Hi Rahul, Did u get to test it in your lab? I doubt all the interface i.e 4x3 are sending request to radius.

    Hi Kijush,

     

    I tested using one BNG and 4 interfaces. I see BNG is receiving 4 Discover but BNG is sending only one offer and only authentication request sent to radius.

    Thank you rahul for the clarification. I got similar kind of show output where i can see lesser number of request compared to message received.
