    Hi there,

     This is Prashanth here and I pursue cisco certifications. But I have to study Juniper for my company project. Just start learning and found a basic thing where I cannot find a proper answer

     

    Herewith I had enclosed the snap of “set show system ?” where the output shows the options with special characters + or >. Just want to clarify what do the below notation stands for.

    • <none>

    May be this question might seems too basic, please forgive me.

    • + --- parameter with a name at this level
    • >  ---  Additional hierarchy level below where you are now
    • <none>  -- optional keywords or variables in carrots

     

    Check out the first section of this pdf "About the Documentation" that goes over all the typography conventions in Junos documentation and cli starting on page xv and following.
