Junos OS

Hi,

We are going to, initially, utilise PRTG with a probe for the new network monitoring tool.

Naturally, one of the mibs utilised will be monitoring interface usage thresholds.

My question is:

Monitoring the interface usage with mibs is no problem, but, can we monitor, along with that, the actual CoS queues themselves?

For example, we have the drop profiles and the queue sizes configured, but what if I want an alert when the BE Queue say reaches, 75 or 80%. Is that possible with the current mibs (I have all the mibs included) or is that something that would have to be monitored on the systems themselves via a manual procedure?

Have a look at the options in the interface CoS tree of the mib.

I would guess that watching the drop queues rate or bytes would be what you are after.
