Hello,

I'm getting an error trying to setup a mirror interface on an SRX. The interface I'm trying to mirror is an AE port. Are we not allowed to mirror these interfaces?

Can you share the relevant config and the error message. It is hard to gues what to suggest as the solution wihout knowing what error was generated and what failed. Typically, when you get a commit error, it indicates why it failed - like heirarchy and a reason.

Yes, only physical interfaces:

: On SRX devices, port mirroring works on physical interfaces only.

There are restrictions on the ports that can be mirrored by model

SRX1400, SRX3400, SRX3600, SRX5600, SRX5800

NOTE: Portmirroring is supportedonly on the SRX devices with the following
I/O cards:
• SRX1K-SYSIO-GE
• SRX1K-SYSIO-XGE
• SRX3K-SFB-12GE
• SRX3K-2XGE-XFP
• SRX5K-FPC-IOC Flex I/O

and shared ASIC

NOTE: The mirrored port and the mirror-to port must be under the same
Broadcom chipset in a I/O card.
