Junos OS

  • 1.  SRX320 DNS routing

    Hello experts,

    Hope you are doing well.

I have a quick query regarding a feature in a sophos brand fw and trying to find if Junos have similar feature.

In Sophos https://support.sophos.com/support/s/article/KB-000035689?language=en_US the feature is called DNS request routing where domain names can be resolved through an alternate DNS server rather forwarders or root servers. For e.g I want my client pc behind SRX to resolve xyz.local domain which is accessible through ipsec tunnel from srx. So the SRX would select the DNS server IP based on the domain name xyz.local and forward the query to them rather than sending it to forwarders or root servers.

I've tried to search in Knowledge base for juniper but can only find information relating to DNS-proxy

    https://kb.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=content&id=KB34039&actp=RSS

Please can someone advise if DNS-proxy is the similar solution to sophos feature or if there is any other way this solution can be achieved in junos?

    Thanks in advance.
