  • 1.  VMX trial Download and Lab license

    Hi J-net,


    I am trying to get a trial or lab licence for a Lab only usage of VMX. I have this there is a free version of VMx at https://www.juniper.net/us/en/dm/free-vmx-trial/ , but I have never got contacted. 


    Can I buy a lab licence, or find a way to download the trial version ?

    I assume when you attempt the download you get this message.

     

    You have encountered this error because your account privileges do not permit access to the information or service requested.
    
    If you believe you should have access, please contact Juniper Customer Care or, alternatively you can 

    Select the link on Juniper Customer Care  and open a customer care case listing what you are trying to download.  They will then authorize you account for acces to the downloads page on the vMX.

     

    For purchases, contact your partner or reseller directly.

    I mean, there is no button for open case.
    So what then?

    The original page has all the instructions.
    Follow the link from there to 
    Case Manager
    https://casemanager.juniper.net/
    Once in your case manager portal
    Choose  Create Case
    Select the Case Type: Admin Service

    Thank you for the instructions, but I assume is only for customers not for normal users.
    When I click the link you provided me,  it says "You do not have access to the Case Manager application. Please contact Juniper Customer Care for further assistance." and then I go from the beginning again.

    Looks like your account then is a "guest" account currently.

    So you will need to create one in the customer category using an email address that is not gmail or other general public address.  It does not need to be a current actual customer to qualify for that status and access the free downloads.
