    Hi Matt Dinham

    i was using below documentation and I  have configure eth0 for management-interface : eth0 , but in ubunto interfaces names are "em1 em2 em3 em4"

    page # 30 on http://www.juniper.net/documentation/en_US/vmx14.1/information-products/pathway-pages/getting-started/getting-started.pdf

    page # 22 on http://forums.juniper.net/jnet/attachments/jnet/Day1Books/399/1/DayOne_vMX.pdf

    I changed host-management-interface : eth0 to em1  issue got fixed.

    Thanks
    Abdul

    Hi,

Please can you send a copy of your vmx.conf, and also the output from the command "ip addr"

What is the name of the interface that you are using to manage your Ubuntu host? e.g. eth0, p1p1 etc

You probably need to replace "eth0" in vmx.conf with the actual name of the host interface, e.g. "p1p1"

See this for info on predictable network interface naming https://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd/PredictableNetworkInterfaceNames/

    Thanks

    Matt
