    Greetings--

    Given the below topology, if I lose either r1 or r2, area 0 will disapear, along with the default route advertisement to stub areas 1 and 2. What is best practice to prevent this, in examples such as this where area 0 is serviced by only two devices?

    With only four routers there really is no reason to have multiple areas just place all of them in area 0.
