    Good Day,

I have two IBGP peers only, north and south. They have two point to point links (national long distance NLD) between them running IS-IS. North is sending a default route to South via iBGP. ECMP is enable via policy, it works fine for IS-IS routes for example when i look at the forwarding plane  i see two hops installed to the peers loopback, how will ECMP work for the default route sent via BGP. Routes are installed in the default inet.0 table.

How can we utilize both links for ipv4 routes between the peers.

    Thanks,

    Hi MFB,

for BGP i dont know if your ECMP will work by default, you might need to add "multipath multiple-as" to make it work, to have a better understanding of your question it would help if you share the show route for those "default" routes and the config of your BGP neighbors.

    Thanks,
