  • 1.  Does the both device need to be same for MC-LAG setup?

    Hi all,

     

    If i want to setup MC-LAG active-active is it the both chassis need to be same? For example If i have MX240, MX960, EX9200. Just want to setup in the lab for the testing. If the chassis need to be same then is also need the both card on that chassis also same such as requirement of SRX chassis cluster?

    Hi,

     

    You can use different routers however I would recommend using same platform. For example, you can form MC-LAG between MX240 and MX960, however it is not advised to form MC-LAG between MX router and an EX. So that means please dont try to form MC-LAG with MX240 and EX9200 as pairs. Posting some links for your reference:
