    Hi,

We have dual stack intefaces throughout the internal Data Network I am building (as an ISP) and I have correct routing information occuring through iBGP and eBGP from an IPv4 perspective. I also need to ensure that IPv6 is advertised as we could have a customer entering the system with an IPv6 address that will need the prefix advertising.

1: Is MP-BGP required for this or is there some other way of achieving this?

2: Is there a really cool document that has a great example anywhere please?

    Thanks

This should help: Configuring IPv6 BGP Routes over IPv4 Transport

MP-BGP is when you want to carry/route customer routing information over your network. Typically used in MPLS enabled network for L2/L3VPN services. If you customer above requires to route ipv6 traffic routesacross, you can some like 6PE/6VPE

    https://www.juniper.net/documentation/en_US/junos/topics/usage-guidelines/routing-enabling-multiprotocol-bgp.html

There is many document & specfic configuration/solution around this, it really depends on requirement & existing setup deployed.

Here is pretty good article for 6PE&6VPE model:
