    Hello everyone.

We`ve got mx104 router with subscriber management enabled. This router terminates about 6k suscribers. Subscrier are terminated in default RI. As we are upgrading our network we`ve got a need to terminate suscribers in RI othe than default.

In a lab we`ve tested this schema and it was working ok with small amount of subs (about 20). So the question is: Is it ok for MX104 to terminate 6k-7k subs in routing instance (vrf or virtual-router), is there any limitation on that?

    Hi,

There is NO limit on how much/many in routing-instance be it VR or VRF as long as you have subscriber scale license.

    Hi,

There is no such limitation. You can terminate the subscribers in VR/VRF.

    show subscribers summary all

    Subscribers by State
    Init: 54
    Configured: 2
    Active: 37116
    Terminating: 8
    Terminated: 3
    Total: 37183

    Subscribers by Client Type
    DHCP: 539
    VLAN: 18701
    PPPoE: 17943
    Total: 37183

    Subscribers by LS:RI
    default: 18701
    default:test.in: 14628

    Regards,

    Rahul
