    Posted 02-06-2019 15:55

    Hi all,

    Last week i have upgrade junos on MX480 production. During the upgrade the RE0 was faulty then i take it the spare lab unit and upgrade it on lab chassis and after that i take out and put into production unit. Then i do commit synch from RE1 (master) to make sure the config sync to RE0. After that i get log as per below and it keep appear. It's look like something process / taks still pending. Can someone guide me how to check and clear it?

    {master}

    test@MX480-re0> edit private

    warning: uncommitted changes will be discarded on exit

    Entering configuration mode

    Hi Kronicklez,

    Please see this: https://prsearch.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=prcontent&id=PR1221723

    As workaround, perform "request system logout pid <PID>" for each of the pids seen in the error output.

    Hope this helps.

    Also, you could check "show system processes extensive | grep <pid>" for these PIDs to look if they're still used by the kernel on each RE.  On backup RE, you can login "request routing-engine login other-routing-engine" and check the same.  Either ways, PR1221723 is the resolution.

    Hope this helps.
