  • 1.  Age of Juniper devices by Serial Number

    Hello all,

     

    I don't know where else to post this, please move it to the correct subforum if there is one 🙂

     

    We've got a couple of MX routers and EX switches. By specifying the Serial Number of a device, how can one check how old the device actually is? Or is there another way to determine the age of a Juniper device?

    Does it show up in the serial number entitlement tool?

    The original bar code labels on the back of the chassis include the manufacture date.

    Hi spuluka,

     

    Ugh, I feel quite stupid now. So that's what the big sticker means on top of the device 🙂

    The problem now is how I'm going to check the manufacture date of the devices while they're in production.
