    I configured the following:
    set chassis aggregated-devices ethernet device-count 10
set groups LACP interfaces <ae*> aggregated-ether-options minimum-links 1
set groups LACP interfaces <ae*> aggregated-ether-options lacp active
set interfaces ge-0/0/49 ether-options 802.3ad ae5
set interfaces ae5 apply-groups LACP
set interfaces ae5 unit 0 family ethernet-switching

    What else might cause ae interface stuck in Defaulted state?

    MTU matters ?
