Swapped out 4300-48p with a 4300-48MP yesterday .. Im getting this a log about ever 10 minutes or so..

My google fu is not helping me understand what and why im getting this message. ?  Im going to swap out the SFP Monday with a Juniper SFP just to see if that fixes the issue..  We never seen this log before when we ran the ex4300-48P.. Heck maybe its the new mondule for the 4300-MP..

Anyways here is my log if anyone can tell  me about this warning..

The alarm is from this error record on optic voltage levels

Module voltage high alarm : Off
Module voltage low alarm : Off
Module voltage high warning : On
Module voltage low warning : Off

Meaning the optic voltage is above warning level but below the high level.   This could be a problem with either the optic or the slot.  If you have the same optic type in another slot you could rotate them and see if the problem moves with the optic or stays with the port.

This won't be a juniper vs not juniper branded optic issue.  But could indicate a poor quality control on that vendor optic if it is consistent with many from that brand.

    RESOLVED.

I swapped out the optic and the log went away .. Below I show the compairison of the two..

From my reading over the weekend its a sign the spf+ is going bad , or you need reseat the module .

Like  Steve Puluka suggested im going to test this in my lab gear to see if i should chuck this module or not..  I did not have

the luxury to test at the site .
