    Hello hendranata,

it depends on where you have bought this device. If you bought it from a reseller, please contact this reseller to replace it.

If you bought it directly from Juniper, you can open a new Technical Service Request to ask them for a replacement as part of the warranty.

    There are two different things:
1.) Warranty: Every device has a warranty, regardless if you have an additional J-Care Service Contract or not.  With this you can just replace the device if it gets faulty.

2.) Juniper J-Care Service Contract. With this you are eligible to replace the device in case of a hardware issue, and additionally to download JunOS software and get JTAC support to analyze software issues and get bugfixes.

You can look here how long the warranty of your device is valid:

    https://entitlementsearch.juniper.net/entitlementsearch/

Here you can find the service description of the Enhanced Limited Lifetime Hardware Warranty for EX2300:

That's good, this means that you have an active Juniper Care Next-Day Delivery support contract valid until 07-Oct-2020. So you can open a JTAC Technical Support case and request and RMA for free. Next Day replacement means that you get the replacement part at the next day in advance, and you can return the faulty part afterwards.

You can find more information about J-Care contract types here:

As we have mentioned before, either through your local reseller or by Juniper Support hotline as long as your Enhanced Warranty is still valid and it only affects parts which are covered by your Enhanced Warranty.

@hendranata - "Can we claim EX2300 without JNPR?" Answer is YES, although I have no idea what you mean by JNPR.  If JNPR is supposed to mean some form of added Juniper Support, then the answer is YES, and this applies to all (95+%) EX Access Layer Switches - EX2200/2300/3300/3400/4200/4300 (T, P, MP, etc.).  For EX4000 Series (exception being EX4200/EX4300) and above ELLW (Extended Limited Lifetime Warrenty) does not apply.

The EX Access layer switches are covered by either LLW or ELLW.  LLW only applied to older legacy EX Access layer switches purchased prior to Sept 30, 2009.  All newer (ELS based) generation of EX Access layer switches, started shipping long after this date, so ELLW applies to all.  This includes any/all EX2300/EX3400/EX4300 models (T, P, MP).

So what is ELLW?  Basically it is [free - included in price of the switch] HW RMA support.  This means for any determined HW failure, Juniper will "next business day ship" a replacement device.  This does not quarentee next-day receipt, it is next 'business day' ship.  So a reported failure on a late Friday afternoon or evening, may not ship until the following Monday.  This is different than ND, which is Next Day ship, via an advanced RMA replacement.  In actuallity, if end-user purchases a few extra spare switches, they have for themselves same-day replacement, and can easily live with [free] ELLW HW replacement, which could take a few days for actual receipt of RMA replacement device.  This is what the vaste majority of customers do for HW Support for EX Access layer switches.

For details on LLW and ELLW see below which includes within the KB, links to the actual coverage documentation.

    https://kb.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=content&id=KB32045&actp=RSS

Now, what does ELLW not cover - TAC/SW support.  ELLW is 100% purely HW replacement support, and TAC should not provide any technical assistance to help troubleshoot or assist any other situation.  ND (or SD - same day) both include HW support and TAC/SW support, and are therefore sold a higher price point.  To cover TAC/SW support Juniper offers CORE support, which provides TAC/SW support at a lower cost than ND/SD.  The one "catch" with CORE support is that it requires a minimum of 10 devices to be covered, and all equivalent models the end-user may have, must all be covered; 100% coverage for any model is a requirement.

In your case, at the end of your current contract, if you wanted, you could replace ND with CORE for your EX2300, as long as you have at least 10 to be covered, and that you add coverage for 100% of your purchased EX2300s.  CORE functions on a per model basis, so there is CORE support for EX2300, different [price] CORE support for EX3300 and different CORE for EX4300.  If you have a mix of EX models, you can not mix models under any CORE support; there is no generic EX Access CORE support.

Please note that with any new Wired Assurance feature/functionality, that when purchased, this includes CORE support for that device.  So for EX Access layer switches, ELLW provides HW support, and WA license includes CORE support.

Please also note any/all of this coverage only applies to Juniper devices purchased through a valid Juniper reseller/partner or Juniper Refurbed devices.  Devices purchased by any 3rd party or gray market seller, can not purchase or have any level of Juniper Support.

    Hopefully this helps all.

Ok assume my ex2300 is under ELLW
Once my additional service like SVC-ND-EX23-24T expired.. I am still able to request RMA, any specific year that i no longer able to request RMA? or the RMA request is eligible forever?

Yes you can get hardware/RMA support once you ND contract expires, which will be via ELLW.  As to when ELLW end? Basically it ends, when end of support life ends for the product.  Juniper policy can be found here:

    https://support.juniper.net/support/pdf/eol/990833.pdf

For example, current EX2200/EX3300/EX4200 went End Of Sale on 6/30/2019.  They go End of Support on 6/30/2024.  LLW/ELLW support for these products end then.  For details see here:

    https://support.juniper.net/support/eol/hardware/ex_series/

So I can not quote exact time frame for end of ELLW for EX2300 until End of Life/End of Sale is announced.  This announcement is likely not to be for some years.  As you stated, your current End of Warrenty is 08-Oct-2029.  You'll get coverage until this date if EX2300 does not End of Sale prior to 8-Oct-2024.  if End of Sale is announced early, you'll get ELLW support for 5 years after announcement or 8-OCT-2029, which ever comes earliest.  I suspect End of Sale might occur prior to 8-OCT-2024, but I do not yet have a crystal ball 😉

they cant register as a new user

    any idea?

do we need to purchase jcare/JNPR first then we are going to have access to the juniper portal casemanager ?

You need to follow the instructions on contacting customer care to link the hardware to your Juniper account before cases can be opened.

There are also restrictions like you cannot use general email accounts like google or microsoft public domains for support accounts.  They want them linked to companies.  Some more detail about account restrictions are here.

    https://kb.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=content&id=KB9946

Once the valid account has the device linked support cases can be opened.

You can also call the number on the support page and ask about opening an "Admin Service Case" to get help having the account setup and the hardware linked to it.
