  • 1.  No fireshutdown temeperature is set ex3300

    Posted 02-05-2020 06:01

    Hi!

I've noticed that an ex3300 is not having any shutdown temperature set:

    root@juniper> show chassis temperature-thresholds
Fan speed Yellow alarm Red alarm Fire Shutdown
                              (degrees C) (degrees C) (degrees C) (degrees C)
Item Normal High Normal Bad fan Normal Bad fan Normal
    FPC 0 CPU 60 70 80 70 95 85
    FPC 0 EX-PFE1 60 70 80 70 95 85
    FPC 0 GEPHY1 60 70 80 70 95 85
    FPC 0 Fan Exhaust 60 70 80 70 95 85
    FPC 0 SFP+ PHY 60 70 80 70 95 85
    FPC 0 Local Sensor 60 70 80 70 95 85

    {master:0}

How can I set the shutdown temperature? I don't have any temperature issues, just to be on the safe side and have an automatic shutdown in case things go south.

    Best Regards J

    Hi

For general recommendation i dont think it is recommended to change the temperature threshold. However in this case you are not seeing the fire shutdown threshold.

So you may try the following

    set chassis temperature-threshold fire-shutdown <temperature>

This is hidden command so you may have to type it completely.
