  • 1.  Strange messages appearing on syslog server - High CPU usages

    Posted 06-29-2011 12:49

    Hi everyone,

Today I started seeing the below coming through my syslog server. I'm also noticing my CPU according to J-Web is around 90-100%  I've never noticed them before and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on that they mean?

    Hi Keith ,

The CPU usage is not accurate from GUI

you check check its real value using the command :  > show chassis routing-engine

    Hi Keith,

Those messages show up when you ask the forwarding plane to report the flow session summary. If you're in J-Web's Dashboard page, there is a pane called Security Resources that reports the number of active sessions. Refreshing that pane will generate those log messages. Similarly, you'll see those messages when you run the CLI command "show security flow sessions summary".

As per above mentioned these messages will relate to debug outputs when you issue "show security flow session summary"
