    Hi,

I have a SSG 550 cluster and only one IDP behind them.

I want to make an aggregate port on firewalls but I don't know if I have to configure something special on IDP to pass aggregate port.

Does any one tried this ?

    Thanks,

    Adrian

    Hi,

Does SSG550 support aggregates? I thought it can do only redundant interfaces?

    Hi,

Do you know if IDP 1100c can support 2 Gbps traffic ?

The interfaces are at 1G but I'm not sure if it can scan every pair at 1G or the total throughtput is 1G.

    Thanks,

    Adrian

    Hi Adrian,

Yes you can do that - nothing special to configure.

Just kee in mind to don't overload the IDP device with too much traffic... even if in average you may use low bandwidth, when you aggregate more physical ports you can have even short time peak of traffic.

    Hope this helps

    Ciao 🙂

    Hi Adrian,

1gbps is the throughput declared on the datasheet, using "recommended" policy and test traffic.

You can connect 2 gigabit ports but then you need to be sure that the amount of traffic is not overloading the device.

In IDP 4.x you can check with the 'top' linux utility, from IDP5.0 we have an option "scio idp-cpu-utilization"

    Ciao 🙂
