  • 1.  [Urgent] One of interface module cannot detect..

    Hi All,

     

    I face problem today. At my customer IDP250, eth6,eth7,eth8,and eth9 is not detected. How can i fix this problem ?

    Here i paste log from console:

     

    Setting network parameters:  [  OK  ]
    Bringing up interface lo:  [  OK  ]
    Bringing up interface eth0:  [  OK  ]
    Bringing up interface eth2:  [  OK  ]
    Bringing up interface eth3:  [  OK  ]
    Bringing up interface eth4:  [  OK  ]
    Bringing up interface eth5:  [  OK  ]
    SIOCADDRT: File exists
    Removing any stray pidfiles...ok
    Starting apps...
    using IDPDIR = /usr/idp
    Setting NICs to defined settings...eth6: error fetching interface information: Device not found
    eth7: error fetching interface information: Device not found
    eth8: error fetching interface information: Device not found
    eth9: error fetching interface information: Device not found

    Hi Chandra,

     

    Thanks to reply my posting.

    I fixed already the missing interface on IDP. Just swap the interface module to another place.

    Before that, i unplug the module then plug it again but still not detect. So i try so swap it and work fine.

    Hi ND,

    in addition to Chandra's request, check also the interface module cards.

    Check connecting cross-cables that all the 8 traffic interfaces have power and can detect a link UP, and if one of the 4-port module is not working try to unplug and replug it.
